“Indian IT industry has undergone many waves of technology and has escaped from upscaling. The current wave of AI is very different. Mitesh Khapra, Assistant Professor in IIT-Madras said in a statement that it requires both mathematical insights and hands-on experience.
“We need courses that make the right balance between the two. Only then will India be able to produce visible products and services in the era. ”
Every year, students who perform top of the ‘studies’ courses will be invited to a summer garage – an AI residency program at IIT-M Research Park, where they can work on the research, deal with problems of social impact , Or can find solutions of commercial value. .
Four-month courses include 80-hour lecture material and require equal time to resolve assignments. It will include a monthly contest and a Capstone Challenge which trains participants to create an app that works like Google lenses for some Indian languages. The curriculum will start from February 1. Registration for the course is open until January 24.
